Our production model is flexible and focused on the high value-added phases of engineering, industrialisation and assembly. Our production plants follow lean manufacturing principles, involving the entire supply chain according to the extended factory model.
We have a solid sales network, with a direct presence in 14 countries and distributors on 5 continents. Our shares have been quoted on the Milan Stock Exchange since 1998, ensuring transparency and solidity for our stakeholders, even in a complex and competitive global context.
Our business areas
Outdoor Power Equipment
Outdoor Power Equipment covers the development, manufacture and marketing of products for gardening and forestry applications and small agricultural machines, such as brushcutters, lawnmowers, tractors, chainsaws, rotary tillers and rotary cultivators. Our products are distributed under our main brands Oleo-Mac, Efco, Bertolini and Nibbi.
Pumps & Water Jetting
This covers the development, manufacture and marketing of products for agriculture, namely centrifugal and diaphragm pumps for spraying and weed control; for the industrial sector, it includes industrial pumps, high and ultra high-pressure systems and urban cleaning equipment; for cleaning, it includes professional and semi-professional high-pressure washers, as well as floor scrubber-dryers. These products are distributed under the brand names Comet, HPP, Lemasa, PTC Waterjetting Equipment, PTC Urban Cleaning Equipment, Lavor, Valley, Poli and Bestway.
Components & Accessories
Development of components and accessories for all the sectors listed, including cutting lines and heads for brushcutters, sensors and computers for precision farming, and guns and nozzles for high-pressure washers. Operations in this sector are conducted partly through the brand names Tecomec, Speed, Markusson, Agres, Spraycom, Sabart and PNR.
Our history in review
1972
Incorporation of Oleo-Mac
Ariello Bartoli creates Oleo-Mac, which soon establishes a name in the market as an industrial-scale producer of chainsaws.
1978
Incorporation of Efco
Giacomo Ferretti sets up Efco, a company that would quickly make a reputation as a leading manufacturer of brushcutters, already much in demand at the time.
1992
Creation of Emak
The executive boards of Oleo-Mac and Efco decide to merge the manufacturing and managerial resources of the two companies, creating a single corporate entity with greater competitiveness and dynamism in view.
1996
Certification to ISO 9001
The Det Norske Veritas certification body confirms that Emak meets the quality provisions of the standard at all stages of the operating cycle: from design through development and manufacture of the product, to after-sales service.
1997
Creation of the Pozzilli remote hub
Emak decides to set up a remote hub at Pozzilli, in the province of Isernia, Italy, dedicated to the production of lawnmowers.
1998
Quotation on the stock exchange
Emak is quoted on the Milan Stock Exchange.
2001
STAR segment
Emak is included in the STAR index of the Milan Stock Exchange. This is the financial segment dedicated to companies meeting standards of excellence in terms of transparency, liquidity and Corporate Governance.
2004
Launch of manufacturing operation in China
The Chinese company Emak Jiangmen is set up, with a factory dedicated to the production of hand-held products aimed at price-sensitive markets.
2005
Commercial subsidiary set up in Poland
The Group expands its international presence by buying out its Polish distributor.
2008
Acquisition of Bertolini
The Group acquires Bertolini S.p.A, owner of the “Bertolini” and “Nibbi” brands, and sets up a new commercial and manufacturing subsidiary in China.
2011
Acquisition of Epicenter, Tecomec, Comet, Sabart and Raico
Emak acquires Epicenter in the Ukraine and expands the range of markets served by the Group, going into the Pumps, High Pressure Water Jetting and Components & Accessories segments.
2013
New acquisition
The Group acquires further companies: Master Fluid (Italy), SI Agro Mexico, Geoline Electronic (Italy), Speed South America (Chile) and Speed Industrie (Morocco).
2015
Entry of Lemasa
Emak acquires the Brazilian company Lemasa.
2017
Strengthening of the Group in the PWJ segment
Emak acquires 83% of the Lavorwash Group
2018
Sale of Raico and Acquisition of Spraycom
2019
Acquisition of Agres
The Group purchases a 30% stake in Agres (Brazil)
2020
Acquisition of Markusson
Acquisition of 51% of the share capital of the Swedish company Markusson Professional Grinders AB
2020
Growth in Agres
Increased its shareholding in Agres to 91%
2021
Acquisition of Poli S.r.l.
Group finalises acquisition of 80% of Poli S.r.l.
2022
The company Trebol Maquinaria y Suministros S.A. enters the market.
In 2022, the Group acquires Spanish company Trebol Maquinaria y Suministros S.A., which sells spare parts and accessories to the gardening and forestry sector.
2023
Acquisition of the company Bestway
In 2023, the Group expands its activities in the agricultural sector of the PWJ segment by acquiring the company Bestway, a key player in the US market for the production and commercialisation of sprayers, equipment for agricultural applications with its own brand of spray tanks, and for the sale of pumps and accessories from other market-leading brands.
2024
Acquisition of the PNR Group
In 2024, the process of growth and development continues with the acquisition of the PNR Group, which will allow Emak to expand the product range offered to its customers and access new sectors that are synergistic with the current business areas of the Components and Accessories segment.
