Our business areas

Outdoor Power Equipment

Outdoor Power Equipment covers the development, manufacture and marketing of products for gardening and forestry applications and small agricultural machines, such as brushcutters, lawnmowers, tractors, chainsaws, rotary tillers and rotary cultivators. Our products are distributed under our main brands Oleo-Mac, Efco, Bertolini and Nibbi.

Pumps & Water Jetting

This covers the development, manufacture and marketing of products for agriculture, namely centrifugal and diaphragm pumps for spraying and weed control; for the industrial sector, it includes industrial pumps, high and ultra high-pressure systems and urban cleaning equipment; for cleaning, it includes professional and semi-professional high-pressure washers, as well as floor scrubber-dryers. These products are distributed under the brand names Comet, HPP, Lemasa, PTC Waterjetting Equipment, PTC Urban Cleaning Equipment, Lavor, Valley, Poli and Bestway.

Components & Accessories

Development of components and accessories for all the sectors listed, including cutting lines and heads for brushcutters, sensors and computers for precision farming, and guns and nozzles for high-pressure washers. Operations in this sector are conducted partly through the brand names Tecomec, Speed, Markusson, Agres, Spraycom, Sabart and PNR.

Incorporation of Oleo-Mac

Ariello Bartoli creates Oleo-Mac, which soon establishes a name in the market as an industrial-scale producer of chainsaws.

Certification to ISO 9001

The Det Norske Veritas certification body confirms that Emak meets the quality provisions of the standard at all stages of the operating cycle: from design through development and manufacture of the product, to after-sales service.

Creation of the Pozzilli remote hub

Emak decides to set up a remote hub at Pozzilli, in the province of Isernia, Italy, dedicated to the production of lawnmowers.

Quotation on the stock exchange

Emak is quoted on the Milan Stock Exchange.

1999

Creation of 5 new branches

The company sets up 5 subsidiaries in Europe through the acquisition of its importer on each of the main markets (Germany, France, UK, Spain and Belgium).

STAR segment

Launch of manufacturing operation in China

The Chinese company Emak Jiangmen is set up, with a factory dedicated to the production of hand-held products aimed at price-sensitive markets.

Creation of commercial subsidiary in Brazil

The Group sets up a new commercial subsidiary, Comet do Brasil, and acquires Valley Industries, a US company engaged in the marketing of products for the PWJ sector.

Acquisition of the company Bestway

In 2023, the Group expands its activities in the agricultural sector of the PWJ segment by acquiring the company Bestway, a key player in the US market for the production and commercialisation of sprayers, equipment for agricultural applications with its own brand of spray tanks, and for the sale of pumps and accessories from other market-leading brands.

Acquisition of the PNR Group
